It’s April! We had organized LEO Fiesta 2012 on the very first week
of this month. LEO Fiesta originally was called Food Bazaar which was organized
by our club annually. Our team decided on changing the title of this event as
we planned to add in more elements into this event to make it much more
interesting.
LEO Fiesta 2012 was a ‘night market
resemblance’ event around the Mexican theme of ‘Fiesta’. This event aimed to
raise club funds and also at gathering INTI students and their friends together
in a merry atmosphere to relax before the stressful forthcoming exam period.
This was a 2-day event– 3rd and 4th of April 2012 –divided into 2 sessions; morning and night sessions. The venue for the morning session was held at Student Concourse while the venue for night session was held at INTI’s hostel area, Hostel Street. Morning session for this event started from 10am to 4pm. We set up our ‘LEO Stall’ at the concourse and sold food such as marshmallows, cupcakes, herbal eggs and also packet drinks. Business was good as students would buy their breakfasts and lunches while they are on their way to class from our stall.

Then we started setting up the stalls at
the hostel street by 5pm before the night session started from 6pm to 11pm. For
the night session, a stage was set up for performances such as band
performances, dance performances and movie screening to make the event merrier.
We took this opportunity by inviting participants from INTI’s Got Talent 2012 (event
organized on March by our club) as our performers so that students who missed
their performances could enjoy them in this event. In addition, a drinking and
a food competition were held with prizes for the winners.
Lastly, I would like to thank to
all the participants of this event. I would say it was a very joyful event and
it wouldn’t be that fun without y’all. Stay tuned for more upcoming projects by
our club!
