FOOD BAZAAR was the very first event of LEO Club in INTI this year. It was held during the 19th and 20th of January. Basically, the main objective of Food Bazaar is to raise funds for the club to organize charity events in the future such as Charity Night. Besides, it was held to strengthen the bonding and relationship between the LEO members and the committees of LEO CLUB.
There were two sessions of food bazaar; morning sessions and night sessions. Different kinds of food were sold during every session. As for the morning session, it was held at the student concourse starting from 10 o’clock in the morning until 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Self-made sandwiches, herbal tea eggs, fruits, siew bao , chocolates, handmade accessories and barley drinks were selling on the booth. It provided students with a variety choice for their breakfast and lunch as students can purchase their food when they pass by the student concourse before and after attending their class.
The night sessions were held at the car park area beside tennis court starting from 6 o’clock until 10 o’clock in the evening. Both clubs from INTI and outside stalls were invited to open their stalls to sell food. For LEO club ourselves, we set up a stall and selling foods as well as LEO shirt and LEO badge. There were a huge variety of foods for the night such that chicken wings, friend potatoes, chicken chop, fried carrot cake, popiah and etc. In addition, different performances were provided in order to attract crowd and students can enjoy the performance while having their dinner at FOOD BAZAAR. There were performances from INTI Concert Band, Dance Academy Club, INTI Idol Bobby with his partner Venn, Diabolo performance by Chinese Cultural Society and so on. Moreover, there was a special flash mob performance by LEO and Adventure Club active members which successfully gave people a pleasant surprise and brought the whole program flow to a climax on that night.
Throughout the whole event, every committee and helpers involved were enjoying from the beginning until the end. Even though everyone has to work a lot for this event but yet what we have gained is happiness and experience. As in the words LEO, we can always gain Leadership skills, Experience and found Opportunity through organizing an event.
Once again LEO Club of INTI International University would like to thanks everyone for supporting us in FOOD BAZAAR 2011. There will be more and more upcoming events this year. We are hoping to see your faces again in our upcoming events.
