Peter Pan @ Sunway Lagoon

This is our first combine event with one of the club in INTI International University which is STACT Club
A Peter Pan live show is provided in Sunway Lagoon which will be continuous shown from September 2010 until January 2011, since the ticket is free for orphans well then we had planned to have a visit with to there together with orphans from 2 different houses which is Rumah Hope from Petaling Jaya and Vivekananda Home from Rembau  , and So we had choosen to have the visit on 9th December

Leo Ern Chai, Leo Derek Ngoh, Leo Renu, Leo Chris and 5 committee members helped a lot to bring up this volunteering outing. We departed from INTI-IU by INTI bus 3pm in the afternoon as the show will be started at 5pm, there were total of 33 orphans and 4 chaperones attended for the show

 

The was really nice as the characters they looked so real and they like to sing a lot~

YES Camp

Also known as Youth Essential Skill camp which is 4 days 3 night camp and was organized by LIONS Club International District 308B1 in Kuala Kubu Bharu, It started from 16th December 10.30am in the morning until 19th December 4pm evening, more than 100 leos attended this camp and majority of the campers was Alpha Leos and there were only 7 Omega Leos campers which include Leo Ern Chai, Leo Derek Ngoh, Leo Renuka and Leo Inthuja from LEO Club of INTI International University, and Leo Shugan was the facilitator of the camp from INTI Leo as well.

 

This camp is to train the leadership of youth and the characteristic of a true leader, especially the 12 keys which presented by Lions, and a lot of outdoor activities prepared by the lions and the crew such as "the obstacle", "12 feet wall", flying fox and more.

It really brought a lot of fun as we were sharing the experience with Alpha Leos and worked things out together.

LEO Club of INTI International University thanks a lot to LIONS Club International District 308B1 for the invitation and GREAT job! same for the facilitator!Well, wish it could be better next year. ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!!

Myth Camp

The Myth Camp Organized by LEO Club of Southern Cross and was hold in Sungai Tua Baharu on 11th December from 8am to 5pm, This camp was somewhere in a jungle and is about treasure hunt and find out the truth of the myth and is attended Leo Ern Chai and Leo Derek Ngoh from LEO Club of INTI International University and by several LEO Club from different places , although it was just 1 day camp, it brought a lot of fun to the leos by running up and down to finish the task given by the crew to unlock the truth and in the same time, it also trained our leadership skill in controlling a team.The best part was river trekking, the river was so cold and everybody was shiverring once get into the river, that makes me laugh a lot =))

For our lunch, uncook food is provided and we have to cook for ourselves, this are the ingredient provided

and we were cooking tomyam and here is our outcome

That was really cool as a lot of mystery happened inside and thanks for the invitation by LEO Club of Southern Cross and the great done by them, it was rock! and keep it up the good work

Southern Cross Anniversary

Another year had passed! It was LEO Club of Southern Cross anniversary which A.K.A 4th on 4th Anniversary dinner at Crystal Palm Seafood Restaurant on 4th of December

Nice and delicious food is served and of course had fun witht all the leos from LEO Club of Southern Cross , LEO Club of KDU PJ, LEO Club of SMK JinJang, LEO Club of KLCC and LEO Club of KL Perennial especially the photography session

 

We LEO Club of INTI International University would like to thanks a lot to LEO Club of Southern Cross for inviting us for their anniversary and have seen the great job done by them

Hearing Awareness Day

A sign language workshop was organized by LIONS Club International District 308B1 for the Hearing Awareness Day on 27 November 2010. It was held at MBPJ Office which located at Dewan Civic, Petaling Jaya from 8.30am to 4pm. This community service project has created awareness and also opportunity for the public to learn the hand sign language in order to communicate with those hearing impaired. Besides, hearing test was provided. Seven of us attended this workshop. The participants have received the certificate once they completed the training.

This event has successfully helped all the participants to obtain extra skill and knowledge so that they could have better understanding and tolerance to serve the community who having hearing problems. Lastly, we would like to thank LIONS Club International District 308B1 and MBPJ for all the hardwork for organizing such meaningful event. Thank you.

Christmas Charity Bazaar

Christmas Charity Bazaar was hold in Subang Parade from 17th December 2010 to 19th December 2010 by Omega Leo Club of Petaling Jaya Integrity together with it's sister clubs, Alpha Leo of SMK Assuntha, SMK Taman SEA, SMK Taman Petaling and SMK Damansara Jaya. 


One of our Leo from Omega Leo Club of INTI International University, Leo Shugan Raman upon invitation from the IPP of PJI Leo, Leo Beatrice managed to attend the closing ceremony of the event. 

Charity Book Sales, cloths and many other stuffs sold throughout this event not only at the venue but also through Facebook. The closing ceremony lasted for around 30 minutes. It was really nice to be in the middle of awesome Christmas decoration having Closing Ceremony with orphans from different orphanages. Seeing them receiving presents and cheering totally made the day. 
 

This was really a meaningful event and these group of youth had their own ways of helping those in need. Two thumbs up for them! PJI Leo; ROAR ROAR ROAR!
