LEO Food Bazaar

Food Bazaar was an fund raising event. It was held on 7th and 8th October 2009.  The event started from 10am and ended at about 11pm. For the morning 10am till 4pm, we were selling food such as Siew Pao, Herbal Tea Eggs, Egg Tarts and Cheese Tart in SAO Concourse. For the night time part, we were having some food stalls along the street opposite to INTI resident hall. Comittees invited about 16 food stalls to sell their food over here for Food Bazaar. Those food stalls included 'Telur Puyuh Goreng' , 'Roti John', 'Fried ice-cream', Sotong Balls, Taiwan Sausages, Taiwan 'Popiah', 'Nasi Lemak', and etc. Besides the hawkers, we invited Clubs to open their own stalls too.

For the first day of Food Bazaar, we were doing it along with International Street Fiesta, hence we got some really nice performances from our International students. Students enjoyed nice Indonesian's dance, and Yemen's dance performance, and of cause, performances from INTI-UC students too. For the second day, we had The INTI Idol Champion, Rainie performed for our event, and later part we had movie screening.

Exhibition Week and 1 LEO Tomotachi Night for September 2009 !

Exhibition week, it is a week for all the clubs and societies to promote themselves, and the week for students to sign up or renew their memberships for any clubs.

For September 2009, 236 members has signed up for LEO Club INTI-UC during Exhibition week! Well done all comittees! After the Exhibition Week, it was the LEO Club's Tomotachi night!

Tomotachi means 'frienship' in  Japanese. We used this word as for our gathering night because we hope that all members can build up a pretty good relationship through this gathering. Our theme for this Tomotachi Night was '1LEO', which indicating that all of us are always part of LEO, no matter which country we are from and no matter what races we are.

Tomotachi Night was the second event for 14th INTIMA LEO Club. This was a big night for all LEOs because we invited Lion Michael, the President of Lions Club KL Seputeh, and Lion Sashekala Pathmanathan, the District Chairperson for Leo Club Development Malaysia to conduct the induction and installation of new members and new Board of Directors for 14th INTIMA LEO Club INTI-UC. The initiation was done by Lion Micheal, and then Lion Sashekala Pathmanathan installed the New Board of Directors of 14th INTIMA LEO Club INTI-UC.

After Lion Micheal adjourned the meeting, members started to take their dinner. Performances started right after the dinner section. Performers Gordon, Kenny, Shirley, Zhu Whee, and INTI Dance Academy Club did awesome performance and members did enjoy their performances much.

LEO Mission -- Comunity Service to Zoo Negara!

This is our first event for September 2009 semester. 50 members and 14 orphans from Myanmar joined us for this meaningful activities. The main objectives of this event are to let fellow participants learn how to be more environmental friendly and gain experiences by taking care of children, as well as those animals.

On 26th September 2009, comittees gathered at Multi Purpose Hall at around 6am. Members too gather at the same venue at around 6.30am. We departed from INTI-UC at about 7am, heading to Zoo Negara. We met those children up at Zoo Negara when we reached, and had a small briefing before we started to work. After the briefing, everyone of us was devided into few groups. Each group follow their own zoo keeper, heading to different departments to start their work. The department we involved including the reptiles department, the bird's house, the lions and tigers department, the giraffe department and animals' performances helper department.

After the zoo keepers distributed the tasks, we started our job immediately. We swept the floor, picking up leaves, preparing food for animals, cleaning up the excretions of animals and a lot more. The process was so tiring, yes, but the experiences we gained are too much more worth it compare with our tiredness. During the comunity service, we met a lot of new friends too. All of us are from different places, different countries but yet we were there, working together, having fun together just because of LEO Mission.

At about 5pm, we left Zoo Negara and back to INTI-UC. On the way back, everyone was so tired and most of us rest and slept on the bus. It is a very nice experience, everyone gained a lot, mentally.

Happy Together ! =)
